An extreme cargo bike

"I have this 750W motor, a regular cruiser bike and a Nihola cargo bike. Do you want to merge the three things into one bike?"

"Have you gone completely raving mad!?! It's going to be a bike monster truck on drugs, and about as illegal to ride in traffic! ...Okay, you've convinced us."

We have admittedly taken some editorial liberties in the above quotes, but it is good enough: we were asked to build a very special cargo bike. Our work consisted of 2 parts. The first task was to remove the rear part of the Nihola cargo bike and replace it with a cruiser bike. There was cutting, welding. Steering, securing and bracing were built. The goal was to make a cargo bike with a very comfortable and reclined riding position. And it succeeds!

Such a bike is very, very heavy, and quite inefficient to ride. Our customer had thought of that, and had thus acquired a powerful electric bicycle system. Adapting a regular bike to run with a center engine is not something you "just do" temporarily. Cutting and welding had to be done again, and new solutions had to be found. It also worked!

The result was a very powerful and uncannily smooth-running cargo bike. Of course, it also got a seat from a motorcycle. It may have been test driven a bit more than necessary. Hold on, that was fun!
